'85 Grand Cherokee

what engines came in the '85 grand Cherokee, is it the undesirable V6 and if so, is it really that bad? What about 4 cylinders? also what's the difference in the grand and regular on those old vehicles? Thanks.

'85 would be a Grand Wagoneer.. Wagoneer's (Waggys or FSJ's) would have a V8 or a I6 no V6 in a Grand. Grand Wagoneer's also have full frames.

Is this what your talking about?

Grand Cherokee's didn't come until '93

Ihttp://images.craigslist.org/3m93o43...252d871c6c.jpg I didn't think they had grand Cherokee's then, that's how they listed it in the add. So, can you tell me about the engine possibilities in this vehicle?

Ok that is a Cherokee also known as a XJ..

'85 will be either the 4 cylinder or the 2.8L V6. The 4's not to bad but if it's the V6 pass it up..

Thats not a grand cherokee, and definately not a wagoneer.
Looks like a plain old cherokee to me.
Also, Looks like 85 had the "undesirable" v6. I would wait and get one with a I6...
