If you haven't already, Here is a site with PDF format Mopar - Chrysler OEM parts catalogs for your year XJ. These are handy because they show exploded views of every thing. Not just for the part numbers.http://www.xjjeeps.com/ And it is FREE.

I dunno where mine is at, but I can tell you that you want an older copy. Like, late 90's style shop manual. The new ones are worthless.

I'm trying to install a transmission my brother-in-law pulled the old one and didn't take the time to mark any of the bolts he just put them all in a can and now doesn't have the time to put the new one in,

also would like some info about mantaince items, fuel filter water pump ect. I just need a reliable vehicle This motor is small and simple, many other makes/models have the same motor, so most parts should be interchangeable I'm guessing.

I just don't want to waste $20 on a haynes/ chlinton manual when 5 pages are about the 2.8 and 400 pages on the 4.0 , thought if some one had it they could look real quick and see if this was true!
