Question how about a 99 with 178000

I have looked at hundreds of adds for these cherokees across 3 states, this one is only 20 miles from home, i would imagine that he would take 3000 for it???...........i hope to go look at it this week sometime......i think KBB is around 3500.......

is there any thing that could be a negative ????.......if i was looking at a chevy, i wouldn't have to ask

any opinions?

If he'll go down to 3k that's not a bad deal with the brand new tires.

Looks clean. Should have the better head on it. 2000 and 2001 have a crappy cylinder head.

Just look for the usual stuff. Leaks, burnt transmission fluid, oil changes, etc...

Looks like a good deal, I would just check all fluids and window switches. My 99 has been great with the same mileage as the one your looking at. window lock switch didnt let windows roll down except from drivers side so check for that. Guy wanted $2500 and I offered $1800 cash in hand and left with a good deal. 3200 may be fair for your area but I would always make lower offer like $2700 .

OK ...thanks a lot.......I'm pretty good at spotting problems, i've been tearing things up and putting them back together for years :-).......but i am just not aware of any problems that jeep has had over the years,

i just got tired of looking at the small blazers and trying to figure whether or not the t-case would shift into neutral........

now...........i think i'm getting hooked on these cherokees......and i haven't even driven one yet..........

late 1999 jeeps also had the 0331

easy way to tell...if it has plug wires or coil packs

i thought i read that coil pack jeeps have the 0331

that jeep in michigan would be worth every penny...i dont see any rust

(oooober jealous)

i'll check for coils, and ask a few discriminating questions.......could be he already has done the head work??......or paid for it.........a motorhead wouldn't say anything about the Kenwood stereo with aux input for phone/ipod

thru the years, i ve been better off buying from "non mechanics" ;-).......they usually save all of the garage receipts, ......

rust isn't a big problem in colorado.......unless, mud cakes up in places that are hard to get to.......i remember the chevy pickups especially the back fenders..........rust after two or three years.....

now we have less steel.........more plastic.......

i haven't heard back from the owner.......so that would make me think that he is a working man..........not an old retired fart like me....
