6" lifted cherokee on 35's vs. stock h3 clearance
well basically theres a long debate between me and a friend, he thinks a h3 is GOD, and don't get me wrong his h3 does rape trails better than my friends 3" lifted wrongler, but he says my 6" lifted cherokee on 35's is about the same total, and frame clearance as his. claiming that his diffs are the same clearance, even though i have bigger tires, and total its still the same. i disagree lol, mostly his roof height is due to its bus-like looks:thumbdown::tongue_smilie: anyone know or checked their diff clearance, as well a total clearance with a 6" lift on 35's? (havnt picked my jeep up yet-tomorrow:thumbup1:)

Tell him to STFU because he has an h3. Its a nice girls hummer.

yeah, nice mom ride. Puke.

pull out a measuring tape. then take him on some nice tight trails and scrape the shi+ out of his hummer

stock rear differential claerance on a h3 can in no way be more than a foot i would think i mean stock them things aint that tall and as well as the fact they are plastic and suck you will have him beat so no worries

Per GM, For Stock 2009 with optional 33" tire.
Ground Clearance: 10.5in Approach Angle: 39* Departure Angle: 36.3* GVWR: 6,001 lbs Not bad but its heavy. |
Hummers are crap, enough said.
Here's the way I looked at it. Both the Jeep and Hummer brands were based on American military vehicles (The Willy's Jeeps and HMMWVs). The Jeep brand was created in 1941, and it's still around! The Hummer brand was created in 1992 and is ALREADY defunct. What better way to argue for the Jeep! |

the H3 is a nice ride. it is much more capable than H2s and weigh alot less and come with locking rear diffs sometimes. but they have an IFS and that sucks unless done right like the landrover lr3. plus it is super tiny inside. and for the price it in no way compares to an xj. nuff said.

I have to laugh at your buddy with the H3.
Just after I got finished paining my Cherokee with a 3" BDS lift I took her out to get a 30 pack of beer. Since there were no other Jeeps in the lot, I decided to park nose to nose with a Hummer, H2 I think. My buddie and I had get pics, and I think I even posted them. Even though my Cherokee was a few inches shorter than the Hummer, I still had over 3" more ground clearance. It was pathetic. |

You realize up until 1994 the majority of jeeps were sprung under correct? With the exception of Cherokees of course. My older brothers friends wife drives one of those urban warriors, next to my Comanche that was about 5.5" on 33's it was about the same size, the Comanche was about half an inch taller. Next to my friends Cherokee that's 6.5" on 35's it looks like a wind up toy. To sum it up...your friends pissy he has the generic "American super truck" and it is less capable then an old Jeep. |
