No, never had them but they're mud terrains. Yes, they're loud and will wear faster than you would want on the road. If you do more driving on the road get an all-terrain.

i've ran a set of 33 trxus for 4 years or so on my xj. they are now on the wifey's tj for the last couple years, still with some decent tread left.
they are a great tire, and wear well. awesome for wheeling.

I ran super swamper radials for 2 years... went thru 2 sets in that time daily driving.
They seem to last about 12,000 to 15,000 miles.
Even if you perfectly balance them on a machine, they will still vibrate at highway speeds... and, they follow every irregularity in the road.
The noise on the highway is beyond tolerable... combine that with the vibrations... and the fact that you have to fight the wheel to go straight...
Off road they chunk/cut easily... although they never "failed" me.
After I simply could not tolerate them any longer, I went with KM2's...
The KM2's are more quiet than the wind noise the Jeep makes, are smooth to up over 90mph and track straight and true. They offer more grip in the rain, more grip on rocks and have not cut or chunked off road... and after 4000 miles they really show minimal signs of wear. (I have a brand new spare to compare to).
I will never purchase another Interco tire.
Maybe if you run the swamps of Florida (they were amazing in mud)... otherwise... no thanks.

^^^your talking about a straight super swamper tire not a truxus like he stated. The truxus is tsl's best mud tire for the road and the most quietest. My buddy ran them on his ranger and he loved em. The hum isnt as loud and is very tolerable,my claws ride and hum worst then his do.

he does have a point about balancing the trxus.
i couldn't balance mine at all, so i left the rim weights off and just threw 8 ounces of copper bb's and a shot of anti-freeze in each tire. it helped alot, maybe i needed more bb's, but anything over 80kms/50mph and it shakes like an epileptic monkey on viagra.
however, my bias ply 36 inch iroks took nothing to balance. no bb's, no balancing weights, nothing. and she runs smooth at 100kms/60mph with no vibes.
our trxus have more tread on them now than my 4 year old iroks.
