ok forgive my ignorance but whats the big deal about this. so he swaped out a different motor. Is there something special about this particular motor that Im missing?

I'll probably end up with a soarer front clip from tiger Japanese or something. They're out there.. Prob like $5-6 grand for the motor, turbos, ecu, tranny and wires.

When I mentioned the AW4 being mated to a V8 or stroker there is a bunch of people that say, "it's wrong" "It won't handle the power" "It's blasphemy" etc.... Well this just proved them all wrong, it is 10x the trans that a glass-jawed 4L60E will ever be IMO....

AW4 is a good trans and will hold up to a v8 (most older stock v8s make about the same power/torque as a 4.0). Its also really easy to make them shift hard enough to give you whiplash.
At least its still and I6, and it still has that sound to it. Im not sure whether to be sad or happy for this jeep...
