2015 jeep cherokee 2.4l vs 3.2l engine
Hi All,
New to the forum but not new to Jeeps! I currently own two Jeeps a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (134K) and a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude Edition (58K). I purchased both vehicles from relatives who leased them and I purchased their buyout. I am very pleased with both purchases because I knew the history of the cars and the buyouts were less than 1/2 the purchase price after their 3 year leases.
This brings me to the reason for my post. My niece's 2015 Jeep "Cherokee" Limited (26K) is coming off lease and I want to purchase it for my daughter. The only issue I can see through my research is it has the 4 cylinder 2.4 Liter engine. Reviews seem to say it is under powered and unreliable. Several mechanics have been have told me to run not walk away from the 2.4l Fiat engine. I would appreciate any and all opinions on the engine or other issues experienced.............. I love the Grand Cherokees but do not know much about the Cherokee line.
Thanks in advance!
Bob K

I drove one with the 4 cylinder. Not underpowered at all.
