1999 Jeep Cherokee sport 4.0L 4X4
Just bought this jeep has 178000 thousand miles on it and climbing its my fiance an I daily driver. Seen abunch of arguments about transmission fluid. I dnt know what kind of fluid it has in it now, but PLEASE someone with knowledge of the vehichle let me know what brand and type would be the best for a high mileage original tranny and motor. HELP. I dnt wanna mess it up its a little beat up so i really need help on this one.

Regular mercon rated atf, I always use the cheap Wal-Mart stuff and it works fine, I have almoast 250K on the original transmission, don't use atf+4.
