1999 Cheeroke Sport Overheating Issues

After reading here this seems to be a common problem, but I need a little help please. Running 210- normally, but when idle and in slow traffic gauge goes to 220+. Replaced pump and thermostat. Read alot about the elect fan motor and when checked, it spins after a/c is turned off. I understand it shouldn't do this, but is this my overheating problem because it does come on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have a 99 and the fan turns on and off all the time while waiting in traffic, its normal. I put in a different thermostat that opens at 180 and it helps my jeep stay a lot cooler. The fan being on isn't gonna hurt anything though. I wired the fan in my old 95 to stay on all the time.

Thanks, but I was thinking that the fan clutch is going or gone in the fan, but i was wondering if it makes any difference as long as the fan comes on when its supposed to.
THanks
