The Odometer is going up a mile every 500 feet. How do I stop this from happening and lower the miles back to the original

OOOOOOK, can o worms issue so I am replying based on a mechanical question. First, your 93 has a physical odometer, not digital. So the answer is yes you can dismantle it and reset it to the proper mileage. Or alternatively you can buy a replacement cluster and reset that one to your original mileage. I can post the steps if you need them....
Now as to the legality it varies by state but mostly the rules are thus:
You can repair or replace in most states, but you have to give a statement if you sell it stating that the odometer was repaired or replaced. Some states even require a notice permanently attached to the door frame. The content of the statement depends on whether you reset to original mileage or reset to zero etc.
It is usually a felony in most states to issue a false odometer statement or to disconnect, turn back or reset one. Also a felony to knowingly sell one that has been altered. So you can see that it is a touchy subject, but if done properly and with the right statement, it can be done.
