16.5" rims?
Lately I've seen 16.5"tires for sale on CL. If they have rims they have not been 5x4.5, usually like 6 lug. These tires sell cheaper than 15" 16" tires. My question is are 16.5" rims common? Or are they uncommon, do making them more expensive. Around here people are asking about $800 for 4 33"x15" 50%. But then I see the same tread on 33"x16.5" for $250...is it worth dealing with 16.5"?
Thanks in advance!

Sounds good, was getting close to making the switch. When I had 35", 33" used were cheap. Now that I went to 33" they're not as cheap! And I'm not a believer in new tires. I usually score 70% tread left tires for less than half of new. Just frustrated I guess cuz of no great deals lately.

I've run 16.5 tires on other vehicles, never on my Jeep though. When I ran 16.5's I used recentered Hummer double beadlocks. Worked great. Never had trouble finding tires for them. At some point, after an axle swap, I'll be running 16.5's on my XJ, once again Hummer beadlocks.
With that said, without beadlocks, and airing down on the trail, 16.5's pop the bead loose easy. So that's definitely a downside if you dont have beadlocks.
