Anything you want to know about the 8.8 https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f30/fo...847/#post49806 and you need a swap kit like this http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-288...-swap-kit.html if you can't weld or don't know anyone the dana 44 from the older xj will bolt in but its harder to find.A full floater is needed when you have 37s or bigger,If not with 35s the diff will have a lot less ground clearance on it.

I really like the kit they have im going to keep my eye out for a ford 8.8 it seems a way better choice for what my plans are

The fact that a rearend is full floating has nothing to do with ground clearance. Its just the style of hubs.

Oh, and i ran a semifloat axle with 37's and 38's. a 35 spline semifloat alloy shaft is by far overkill for most people in that application.

Now I am wondering what are my advantages for semifloating and full floating. Also can anyone give me guidance how to do a full float or a semi.
