'01 Cherokee Sport Towing Capacity
Recently bought an '01 Cherokee Sport with factory class 1 hitch tow package rated @ 2000lbs. Since it's factory would it already have a trans cooler or was this only part of the class 3 factory hitch. There seems to be an additional core mounted in front of the radiator - I'm guessing that's the trans cooler. If so, is it big enough or is an aux. cooler needed?
Would adding a class 3 hitch change the towing capacity or is it best to keep it under 2000 lbs? 8.25 rear diff using 75-140 synthetic oil. I plan on adding elec. trailer brake controller. Any upgrade recommendations, brakes, springs etc.?
Had a Grand Cherokee before and the Sport isn't as beefy IMO.
