Default Wheels...To paint or not to paint???

This may be the wrong section to post this but oh well. Im trying to decide if my wheels would look good black or not...what do you think?

Yes, but only if they were Satin or Gloss. Not Flat black

I completely agree. It's an old style of rim, so I'd paint them for sure to give them a new look.

do you happen to know the brand? The center caps say ICW but I searched the web and couldnt find that wheel made by ICW...

I took mine and just ran a scotch brite pad over all the sufaces, shot em with some brakeleen, blew em dry with air and painted them. Mine are that same vintage, aluminum , with three spokes, but swoopy like that. and They turned out great. like them much better now.

Duplicolor makes a good wheel paint I'd check that stuff out.

I agree paint em it will give them a whole new look

I do have some pics in my profile, doin laundry right now, but when I am done with that I gotta bleed my brakes, grease my zerks, and install the front driveshaft. I'll get some pics and post em then!!!

ICW is a racing/sport rim company. However, these look like they might be a sport edition stock rim for an S10 or a Ford. The center cap was probably added later. Check it out...different shades.

if you wheel your jeep a lot especially in the mud i'd just use a scotch pad to scuff it up and clean them. couple coats of primer and just some $.99 spray paint from wal mart. i know a dude who wheels in mud and gets swirls in the paint from mud and rocks and just shoots some black paint on it every other week or so. If you use the duplicolor, i like the gun metal color also.

both of my jeeps have black wheels one is rattle can flat black and the other is pro comps, gloss black

i used 3m undercoating on my 88 factory wheels then clear coated them
