what welder?
I didn't know where to ask this.
Looking for a welder to learn on and to possibly fab parts for my heep. So maybe 1/4" steel and 1" tubing and some body work, also live on a ranch and could use it to fix allot of things.
Also what would be the best way to bend/cut sheet metal and tubing?
And low FUNDS is the key word here, so can't get the best.
thanks for the help!

Pipe cutters work on tubing, and the good old fashioned saws all. Any welder that is name brand will do the job. I have a clarke combination brake and shear that works passible well. I paid $300 for it.

being on a ranch i assume you have access to 220v so deffinately go with a 220v welder as 110 is useless

Look at the Hobart line of welder from miller. I have a 140 amp unit that will weld up to 1/4 and can also Handel thin body work as well. Plus the Hobart are pretty user friendly.
