What do your passengers hold on to?

Im looking to make something for my front passenger to hold on to. He keeps busting the grab handle over jumps and large hits. The rear passengers are able to hold on and stay put but my front passenger is all over the place grabbing the door ect. I think i remember seeing handle bars from a bike installed to be removable on the passenger floorboard maybe? Im kinda stuck here. Just wanted to see what everyone else has come up with.

Thanks

hmm i took the grab handle out. i just tell em brace themselves haha

Grab handle has been out many times against my will haha. The flailing arms keep breaking sun visors and grab handles, even a door handle. I keep thinking i saw a razor scooter handlebar bolted to the floor boards. Am i nuts? or has anyone else seen a setup like this before?

found it. Those little go karts on crack use em.

Attaching it to the firewall like the UTV, would be best. If you put it on the floor, it would rock back and forth, and rip out. It would be a pretty serious project, and would require multiple mounting points to really work, IMHO.

What I thought of doing was to use grab handles like the ones that wranglers use on their roll bars and just strapping it to the doors.

There is room on the firewall underneath the heater box. I was thinking plating both sides of the firewall and welding a small piece of tube to the inside plate. Then i could slip the handles in and out to make it removable. Maybe hold it in place with clevis pins. Would this be enough? O think it would need to be removable because this jeep does drive on the street sometimes and i dont think it would be safe to have in case of an accident.

The real way to do this is with an interior cage. Then mount handles to it.

BEER that's all they need to hold on to. Actually my doors have handles that work good.

get some rope.. drill hole in floor.. run threw with big washer.. put a loop on end..
