Looks good. Are you going horizontally from the tube to the body or are you going to work an angle into it?

Welding Your "flat stock" to just the fender seems a little tricky. I think you need to plate it slightly. You don't have to armor the whole thing but I cant see welding plate to the flimsy fender.

im not welding the flat stock to the fender....im welding tabs to the flat stock that will bolt onto a plate behind the fender. I also tapped holes into the tubing that bolts onto plates behind the fender edit: When i said about welding up there ^^^^.....i meant the flat stock is getting welded to the tubing, nothing is welded to the fender. totally bolt on. |
Bad ***! I like flat flares, but don't like the lawn edging ones.
This is a cool idea, for strength you could add some tube connecting the fender and the outer tube where the outer tube makes its bends. That'd add plenty of strength. I look forward to the write up! What did you use to bend the tube? Is it solid tube? |

What did you use to bend the tube? Is it solid tube? Used a JD2 (J D Squared) bender, forget which model, but a monkey could operate it. Solid 1x.120 hrew tubing. Its the second from the lowest end one for the bender, but it took all of 10 minutes to get angles and bend these with a digital protractor |
Solid tubing? which is it? Solid or tube?

Yeah took me forever to draw these up and now im taking my time to make sure they come out nice! I hate lawn edging and the bushwhackers...and pa laws are the pits, so i needed something.

I'll most likely steal some of your design. :D |

Well, my guess is, if it's 1"x.120" then it's tubing. |
