Skid plates

I'm planning on building custom skid plates and armor for the Jeep. I was just going to see if any body had some dimensions and sizing for different skids, i.e. oil pan, gas tank, etc.. Also, anyone used aluminum diamond plating for skids? I don't think it would be too heavy, but I don't want to sacrifice protection. Thanks everyone.

All i can say is tuck that t-case skid as close as possible to the t-case. I have a 231 t-case but got a good deal on a 242 skid and it hangs way too low so its going to come off soon and be replaced with one from appalacian armor.

Front skid

Ive got a front skid off an 89 Limited that needs a little work on the mounting bracket. $15 plus shipping and you could use or modify to your own tastes.

I did, but I don't have dimensions for it, I just winged it, like the rest of my crap!! Check out my build thread, it's in there if you need food for thought...

i winged everything lol

my belly skid is basically a flat piece of steel across the framerails

but to do that i had to build a crossmember that lifted my t-case, clock my t-case, move my cat converter back, hammer up my floor, and make some new t-case linkage.

if you want a nice easy gas skid get a stock skid and plate it with some 3/16"
