My 91 XJ is my daily, but when I'm on the trail I'd like to be able to remove my stock doors. Is there a kit for this? Or does anyone have suggestions?

i did the cuts on the hinges. works well after you take them on and off a few times. i just used so mirros from the parts place up the street and mad an angle iron bracket so they slip into the hinge

Thanks, that's a very detailed page that gave me lots of good ideas.

What do you guys think about half doors? After the doors are cut in half, what's the best way to cover the interior side of the door? And then, What would I need to do to the doors jams? I know I'll need new hinges or I'll have to fab the stock ones. What do you guys reccommend? I've got power windows and locks so I'll have to have some kind of connector. In the link in the above quote, he started out with mate-n-lock connectors but he had a problem fitting them in the boot. Could I leave the wires from the door long enough to basically store the connectors in the A pillar meaning the connection would be after the boot? And whats the best way to cut the doors in half?

there really isnt a best way... you just do it... as for the connectors there are factory connectors inside the kick panel...

I just removed my doors yesterday that was a pain in the but the pins are realy pressed into the hinges
