roof rack/slider material??

I am planning on making a roof rack/slider combo. Im wondering what thickness of tube I should use for this. I know that the roof rack doesnt need to be to terribly strong but the sliders need to be. Any input would be greatly appriciated.

2x2 .125 square tubing should be good for the sliders.

I posted what I thought would be good on NAXJA for ya. Here it it is here too, but only because you got me thinking about it too. lol

Roof rack = .065 wall 1" square or 3/4"

Slider part = .120 wall x 1.5" DOM
