For years I have been riding around with no Hilift or it ratchet strapped in place.. Till NOW


SHort piece of scrap with nothces on both ends



Just showing kinda what I am going to do.



I cut them 2" long from the short side of the notch



I didnt take a picture of it, BUt I went back in the garage and used my hole saw to cut two tube blanks out of 1/4 plate. On one of them I drilled a 3/4 hole on the other I left it alone.

THe one I dilled I took a 1/2 nutsert and welded it to it, on the other side I took a bolt and welded it to the blank. I know most ppl use studs on both sides but this is the way I like to do mine.. requires 2 different wrenches to remove.. MY own anti-theft device



Not perfect but it will definately work for what I got going on.

cool man. nice and simple. I like that its not hangin off the roof or hood something silly.

It is a simple design... I always look at the practicality of where you put things. Meaning is it going to be impossible to get off/put back. when things are on the roof... Yeah dont look for me to be anywhere near that.
