recovered rear seat auto poolball shifter
I dont have any pics yet or any play by play pics but I did a fabric recovering of my rear seats and I also switch my shifter handle from the stock t grip to a pool ball
Both were pretty simple
For the seats all I did was buy some camo fabric I liked and the took out the seats and took the covers of
I then split the fabric along the seams from the plasticy and the soft fabric
I overlayef the camo onto the seat fabric and stitched it all up following the factory lines
Then back together with the plasticy part and back into the xj
The pool ball shifter was easy cuz my auto shifter doesn't need the button to work
Although what I did do was drill out the ball and I bought a pack of springs from lowes and inserted one into the hole then place the spring over my shifter arm and used electrical tape to hold it in place
Made the fit snug enough that the ball doesn't come of the spring
It's functional that I can still push the ball down if I need to
Ill get pics up soon

I would be afraid to drive my Jeep without the safety button because I always rest my hand on the shifter, and tend to shift it manually when I am driving it hard. I have accidentally put it in neutral too many times, accidentally going into reverse at 60mph could be bad.

My safety button hasn't worked since before I got the keep but I've never had a problem with it moving on me while resting my hand on it

finally got the pics
so heres the pics of the rear seat, the pool ball shifter, and also the visor and sound bar
so i tore apart the original seat covers and sewed the camo over top following the original lines
i know its not perfect but i think i did good for my first time and its been holding up for nearly a year now
so for the pool ball i drilled out a hole to fit the spring i bought
left it snug so it wont come off
taped the other side of the spring to the shift lever with a liberal amount of electrical tape left room to be able to push the pool ball down if my button decides that it wants to work
the sound bar was easy just removed the old fabric cleaned the surface and spray glued the new camo onto it
the visor was also easy, didnt even need any spray glue
just cut one piece big enough to fit around to both sides but not overly to big and took a butter knife and pushed the fabric into the split all the way around
