WELL MY BROTHER WANTED A BETTER WAY TO MOUNT HIS SPARE ON HIS JEEP SO THIS IS WHAT WE CAME UP WITH ... WELL HE DIDNT GET IT PAINTED YET TO MATCH THE CAGE BUT LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK

It should lower the spare to the ground. Still gotta lift that heavy sucker off. I recently saw one similar fabbed (I think it was on NAXJA) where the guy used struts to lower the carrier. Pretty slick. BTW, not bashing, but I can barely lift my 33s on steel, so that's my motivation.

I really like that tire carrier though.

And hey thats the only other person I have seen with a hi-lift base

yeah the tire is a 35 and the bastard is heavy

yea its legal to drive around like that there is nothing unsafe about the jeep ... you prolly cant see it in the pics but we cut the roof open and made a canvas top for it kinda like a rag top....and i used to drive me chopped xj with half doors around town also ..cops kinda looked at it funny but couldnt do anything about it ... was all ligit (sp?)
really appreciate the props for it

ooo and about the hi lift base i also have one does really well in the soft ground around here

no the roof "thing" does not leak at all ... got about 2 inchs on each side of the cuts ....heres a build link of the jeep we kinda just guessed at where to start cutting and then we had a big whole in the roof .... i hope the link works
