No More Saggy Headliner - by request of my woman
My lady was not too fond of the push pins holding up the saggy thirteen year old headliner when I got the Jeep, so it was first on my modification list
Cost of materials = $25
Cost of time = ~4 hours
-bought 3m "77" spray glue for $10, and 2.5yd of duck cloth for $15.
-spent about an hour removing everything attached to the roof:
visors, lights, handles, speakers, plastic trim, etc.
-went back to the store to buy a larger sized torx set which is apparently needed to remove the rear seatbelt bolts.
-gingerly removed the headliner.
-spent about an hour scrubbing the crumbling foam off of the headliner, then scrubbing it with a brush, then vacuuming it with the brush attachment.
-spent the last hour gluing the new cloth to the headliner board about 6-8" sections at a time.

Did mine also about 6 months ago.. used Headliner adhesive 3m 99 as the 77 might let lose in the future from the heat... get 120 under the top sometime.. Best adhesive to use is the headliner adhesive made for that job but only comes in 5gallons can... Sometimes you can get a friendly uphoster person to let you buy a gallon or so..Cost about $35 but will not come lose ever...

Any disadvantages to the rhyno lining? Does it get hotter than the cloth? Think it can be rolled on at home?

No man actually I have pretty dark tent all the way around and it stays really really cool inside of it plus it also has the advantage of being a lot stronger the rhyino lining hold it pretty solid unlike the lil cardboard type stuff under the cloth. If I'd ever have to drop the headliner I could do it without any worries knows the board won't bend and crack. And also it stays cool and everyone loves it

Yea I believe it can be done just it you'd have to put the fabric off first rhyino is a heavy heavy material it's stick are fork like plastic to just about anything that other stuff idk how well it'll work on the fabric but on the headliner itself no problem
