Need some trackbar advice
I just finished my steering set up and now I need to finalize my trackbar plan, but I need some help. So I am thinking of getting this bracket for the frame http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...t-_p_1669.html and then I am going to offset this bracket http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/...nt_p_1399.html on the axle tube. Then I am going to order some DOM and heims and put it all together. The problem that I am having is if I want to have the axle mount 6" or 7" high. I know that I want to keep the angle the same(why I am getting the adjustable mount) just looking for advice. Pics of the angles and height
Any comments advice would be awesome.

To keep the angles right I have to have a over the axle mount so a stardard adjustable one won't work.
I just went ahead and ordered the two brackets, heims, tube adaptors and tubing only $140. It should ship out monday so I will update as I go.

Here is best picture of how it is mounted. I threw off the angles of my old steering set up and I had to either significately lower the Frame mount of raise the axle mount.
Old set up
New Set up
You can see the huge difference in angle in between the two. I redid the same steering because the first welds did not penetrate at all and I removed the old tracbar set up because it was a quick fix, but I did not trust it.

make it easy on yourself and get a drop bracket for the frame side. i went with the RE drop bracket. here are my angles. i used a RE superflex joint and poly bushing for the ends. your heims would work fine too.

i like the double shear better. i built mine. it started out as a pan hard bar off some race car. i picked it up at a wild wades swapmeet.
i didnt have a die to bend it here so i cut a knoch out and braced it.
the angle aint the best but its kinda temp till i put my 1tons under it

The two brackets that I got from ballistic should work. The frame side as adjustable holes at 2 1/2", 3 1/2" and 4 1/2" drop from the frame and the axle side is supposed to be 7" off of the frame (a little above the UCA mount) but it will be tilted off center so it will be only 5-6" higher off the axle tube. The heims should be good and responsive.
Do you think I could just weld the bracket to the frame or do I need to weld it to an piece and then bolt that to the frame?

I haven't plated the rails and it is on the to do list, but I have cut off for spending money for the month . . . stupid fiancee and expensive wedding.
What do you guys recommend about plating the front? I know there is the HDenginerring stuff and I am planning on using some big angle iron for the middle.
Also what welder/speed would you recommend for welding to the unibody?

id use 3/16 flat to plat the front. make a template out of cardboard of the frame and transfer in onto the flat plate. as for your welder it depends what you have. just go off of the chart in the welder. you could set it little lower then for 3/16. try to put most the heat into the flat plate and not the frame cause its so thin.
