my iron scorpion bumper build. pics included
when i was looking at iron scorpion bumpers, i couldnt find any detailed builds so i took a pic at every major step. hope it helps someone else.
heres what the kit includes
the jeep with the stock bumper removed
the "minor trimming" required to put the pin in the reciever. i used a cutoff wheel on a grinder. also, be careful if its running and youre putting the pin in... the harmonic balancer is kinda close
the kit is pretty simple. i heated the tabs for bending although its not necessary
the gussets
the second bend forming the angles of the bumper
testing for fitment
the reciever tube seems pretty strong. it comes with some gussets. a havent pulled from it but i think it would do fine. just hung a rod rack from it so far.
another angle
forming the corners
another angle on the corners
the tacked bumper as a whole
and the rear
heres my jeep. it came out alright, i was 17 at the time and did it all. its kinda dull in the photos because its just rattle can and this was probably after 1000 miles on the road
side angle, the brackets hanging below are tow points not a part of the bumper
another angle
my only regret is not getting the winch bumper. this thing looks pretty sharp as is and would look great on a nice rig with some lift and tires. at the time of the pics mine had a 2in and 235/75r15 tires.
update! alright i fixed it some haha. i cant resize them on photobucket for some reason so sorry. let the hate begin! haha oh well... someone may find it useful

Not too bad. I've been looking at this bumper for quite awhile and never knew of anyone that built one. Thanks for the info.
