That's what I like to hear , and what I figured you would say. I just wasnt sure if maybe you had a precise method or just used the time tested beat on it method

Me personally I already have holes in the roof of my jeep from previous roof rack that got damaged from an ice storm that dropped a branch on it. Rip roof rack lol. So I would attach this with those holes using bolts and silicone around them

Is there anyway I can remove the sliding bars on top that are there now and drill this rack into those holes?

Thanks, Clay

There should be little covers at the end of the racks tracks. Should pop off and the racks slide right off.

Default UPDATE

ok sorry i havent been able to get back to u guys about ?s BUT here is how I myself decided to mount this rack.

7/8 washers, weld the washers to:

some flat stock 3/4 in wide and about 4 1/2 inches long

3/4 u bolts with 7/8 nylock nuts

the size of this rack may be a lil small for an XJ, but its perfect for a ZJ.
like i said the beauty of this rack is that it is changable, i can remake parts to change the dimentions.

more pics

lots of drillin and time required but this thing was way easy, I AM lookin into building kits of this style rack, it would include everything u see on the rack, all holes drilled and all hardware. not sure if alot of ppl would be interested. just throwin the idea around...................

for u do it yourselfers all the uprights(vertical parts) were made by: cuttin to lenth i.e how tall u wan ur rack, and cmashin an inch on each end in a bench vice.

this thing is WAY sturdy u guys, not too heavy, and VERY easy to put together.

THANK ALL OF YOU FOR ALL OF THE FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS!!!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default kits coming soon

ok, so im thinkin im gunna build unasembled kits, all holes drilled, hardwear included, sprayed with a bedliner.
probly 4 diff sizes: xj full roof length rack or half (like mine) and zj full or half.
(the diffrence between zj and xj will be width, xjs will be wider to fit the roof of the rig.)

i just gotta figure out the money ishu. i dont kno how im gunna recive payments or anything, or get ppls orders BUT im workin on it.

i also want to build and sell winch mount bumpers, rear tire carrier bumpers and rock sliders.
Again i just gotta figure out how to handle orders n transactions, give me some time

You should just set up a PayPal account and use that, that's probably the easiest method
