I just finally got them wired up tonight, they are water tight between the JB weld to mount them and the clear silicone permatex to make them water tight.
They are a 55 watt a piece halogen hooked up to a relay. Plus they are switched so I can turn them on and off as I please....( "Get off my tail!!!" )

As far as heat they only get warm even after running for long periods.
