Very nice build I really like the idea of the low profile! I also just picked up 6 of the jcr gutter mounts and was wondering if you could help answer a few questions for me? I know you mentioned them being floppy and not secure at first but they were fine in the end but mine feel really loose. I can tighten them up all the way and they seem to only grab the outside trim piece, not the actual pinch seam. This just worries me because I plan to put 100+ lbs up there at times and I don't want it all coming off! I guess I just need you to tell me they will be fine haha! I feel like once I get them all welded up they will be fine.

Here's some picks of my load bar build currently:

I think once you get everything all welded up and together, they should tighten up. When mine were up there without being attached to anything and with the rack just resting in place between them (nothing bolted in) they were very loose. I didn't see how they would ever be secure enough to hold anything, but as soon as everything was attached together, the problems were solved. It is very secure. I can shake the entire rig by grabbing the rack with no movement whatsoever from the mounts/rack.

Are you attaching your rack to those bars?

Yes the rack will clamp on top of the bars. Their basically just homemade load bars, I couldn't justify paying a few hundred $ to buy load bars when i could make them for the price of the brackets. It looks kind of odd in the picture because the bars are sitting through the side of the rack instead of underneath it but it should look fine when its finished.

gvvios, I'm afraid I don't know how to answer your question. Have you tried searching around the forum already, I'm sure your question has been answered on here somewhere already. If not you need to post a new thread to the "OEM Cherokee Tech" section of the forum and somebody will help you there. I can guide you through posting there if you need.

Any finished pics of it installed? I love the lo-profile look.

There are some on that first page of the thread. If you are looking any other specific ones just let me know and I can snap a few and post them up. Thanks.

I saw those but I meant like a full vehicle pic instead of just a roof shot. You know... something you'd be proud to post on Instagram or submit to COTM or haha.
