homemade bumper

I was planning on adding a single bar hoop for grill protection but i dont have a way to bend heavy wall tube

I used a trailer hub for the swing away

Im not a big fan of angles..bends look so much cleaner


Just got my rear bumper/tire carrier mostly done..as soon as I figure out how to get the pics on my new computer ill post them up

def suggest a brace from the left of the horizontal bar to the top of the vertical, i had mine like yours and it wobbled pretty bad and then i added the brace and it dont move not even the smallest bit now, also for the hitch i would suggest some extra bracing around the bottom of the tube into the bumper

yeah they look like grappling hooks sticking out the sides..... what did you use for a latch...

I am going to add a brace to the verticle arm and for the hitch..the ends will be cut off because I am going to run a piece off the bumper under the rear quarters as soon as they are cut..thanks for the input

I have the materials to make another bumper like this one and was wondering if anyone might be interested...if you are interested pm me and shoot me an offer.

The second one I make will be made to the buyers liking as in how it is mounted (mine has a piece of 2x4 tubing running inside the "frame" and is bolted up underneath), and if they want it made for cut quarters
