Heres my solution to the lack of cup holders in older XJ's.
Just a standard water bottle holder for a bike. All switches are usable with no interference. And it beats the plastic one u buy from the dealer. That i'm assuming would break if it was bumped at anything below freezing. Hey and it doesn't look to bad when its holding a drink and its +100F out |

I kinda feel like a nerd posting pics of my old XJ since I had to sell it to start my business but I put my heart and soul into building this 2 door and think it should be remembered as it was before it got destroyed.

I got aluminum valve caps and inflation needles from harbor freight. Take the needles and cut about half of the stem off. Drill a hole in the top of the valve cap, then epoxy them together. You can drill holes in the sides of the valve cap to let more air out but I didn't so can put my pressure gauge on the end to find out my psi.

sweet! Nice job

Made some disconnects from a simple 4 prong trailer plug for my lights so I can take my rack off with no hassle.
Also I put some heater hose in the gap of my d rings to keep them from rattling. |
