XJ Athiest, i'm not exactly sure. I've never tested out the length of time it can be ran without the engine running. Other than the light, I've only used it for drilling and grinding (short period of times for both). If I were to use it for any longer than a few minutes, or for large loads, I would just start the vehicle and not worry about it. Do to the Aux lights, the inverter, and the winch, I am definitely going to run dual Optimas and high output alternator in the future. However I also have a large list of other upgrades to do as well.

has heat been a factor at all yet rykker? I dont know, but one air filter like that is plenty that just makes two filters to clean. keep one as a clean back up and make a heat sheild. fab it into the stock air box. and get a prefilter sock

Troth Aug 9, 2009 08:40 PM

plastic chillin at 220 F cant be great, if youre going to keep 2 air filters get metal pipe welded at the same shape and wrap it with insulation

Rykker Aug 9, 2009 08:48 PM

no problems with heat yet

Troth Aug 9, 2009 08:54 PM

well I still think you could fab something more efficent. those airfilters are all about cold air filters because cold air is condensed to it has more O2 molecules than heated and expanded O2 the air in the engine compartment is about 210-225 F you could take the stock airbox and fab your METAL pipe and filter to fit in there, it would draw air from behind the driver headlight, Cool air

about taken headliner out,I will post pictures later but i took off on my headliner by peeling it off and leaving foam,Then taking a wet dry vac and i lightly scraped with vac tip on the foam and it sucked it up leaving the fiber board which looks alot like a drum head texture.Looks cool and i kept my molded speakers in the rear.I have an 01 and i dont know how much they have changed over the years.ill post pics tomorrow.

oh ya those later cherokees have the speakers in the roof haha unexpected dilema. I bet alot more wires, I love my 92'. I tried that origonally but never vac'd it the foam was nasty and rotten yours is newer so probably not as bad

I went from an 87 cj7 to my o1 cherokee...I love older, more raw vehicles because they have more personality but can be a lil pain in the *** at times...I am wanting to drive across country with this so i decided to buy new..I just turned 100 thousand on the 4.0 and i have never seen a drop of oil ...
