Homebrew shock mounts on the 8.25, cut the stock mounts off and trimmed it to fit the end of some 2x2 square stock. Coped the other end of the 2x2 on the drill press and welded it on the housing. It helps with ground clearance and keep the shocks from hanging on rocks.

NOTE: This was done on a 2000 XJ Sport, The other years and models relay location vary. Attachment 388264 This is the pin to bend. Do it just like this and the relay will still slide in and out freely. Attachment 388265 |

So this makes it so that the fogs are on full blast like turn signal stregnth when Hi beams are on? if so that would be sweet, did you see my fog light mod? double clear lens? thanks for the pics. what does that one prong on the relay do?

Oh and with the head liner, the dome lights are mounted to a cross member not the upholstery, although it feels like it

So I dont think I can do the relay mod. Mine is a 92' XJ Laredo and my fuse block didnt have a relay like yours, the headlight spot is a 40 A fuse spot I think. I think I uploaded a pic

Hey Troth i have a question about that baja light mod. i pulled one of them apart. Do i need to replace the bulb or just some how the ground wire to the bulb with large gauge wire? I think I can change the hot wire easy. If I replace the bulb with a 100watt versus the 55watt and just leave the stock wires the same, would that produce more power?? Or am I going to need to replace all the wires with something like 10gauge? I'm really new to wiring. I mean I can do it, i just need a good run through. haha. Heres the stock bulb to the baja i pulled off.

yeah you could replace the bulb but you dont have to. the stock baja bulbs are the ones I run. you see that metal piece on the end of the bulb wire with the hole in it? take it and drill it out just a little bigger so you can fit the 10 gauge through it. strip about 1.5" off the wire and feed it through and twist it up, It makes a bomber connection and then the ground is attached to the bulb with a tiny screw rite? take that ground off and you can take that tiny brass hoop off with a small flathead. put it inbetween the two prongs and wack it lightly with a hammer. transfer that to the 10 gauge and really clamp it down with pliers. leave nice long tails of wire to make it easy on yourself and make all connections bomber and waterproof with good electrical tape

the air flows so clean through those things that one should be plenty efficent. should take one off and fab a heat sheild. oh and if its going to be in the open engine compartment like that try and make or buy a prefilter mesh sock for it

the white nylon insulated wire coming off is the ground. i don't see a screw on the bulb??

kitsapfreerider is this for all 4 of your bajas? if so run them off of a 25 AMP circut I still have my 4 55 watt'rs running off of 25amps and theyre way bright. the only thing I could think of is 100 watt may be too hott for them but I dont know. run your wiring Battery--> 25 AMP fuse--> hott wire through firewall--> connect it to one side of 10 AMP switch--> connect next wire to other side and run it to lights. its simple wiring and you could use your lights with engine off.
