I got bored today and wanted to do something with my ole jeep, so the result was a snorkel I made. Turned out pretty dang good if I say so myself and does the job!

next mod will be to make a connection block that I can hook all my power window and door stuff to so I can just disconnect that, and then just unbolt my door and go play. Gonna get started on that Sunday. Any suggestions???

I cut a hole in the airbox and used some weatherstripping you can get from lowes to create a watertight seal with the PVC in the airbox. It is routed under the airbox so the air still has to go through the filter. But it works great, I can really tell a difference and you can even hear it sucking some nice clean cool air. And as far as the doors go, I was just going to to get bullet connectors for r/c cars or just see if I could find a connection block and solder the wires. Gonna get that done this weekend. And I'm trying to figure out a way to make the doors easily removable. And how heavy are the doors. I want to be able to take them on and off by myself.

yeah, I'm on that. I didn't think about that until I was done. But I'm prolly gonna just add a little section of pipe about 4" long with a 90' on the end to keep it pointing down, but it works GREAT!!!

*you can use a passenger ZJ harness for your passenger side, but need to have a driver's ZJ harness for the driver's XJ. I only used both driver's side as the ZJ I robbed them from had the passenger door caved in but an extra driver's door leaning against it.. *
And yes, you will have to make the holes in the door jamb a little ****** to fit the connector through

Got a question, I have been thinking about getting some door hinges like the newer wranglers have. Has anyone done this before or would it even be possible to do? I was also thinking of getting some mirrors off one and attaching them to the fenders so I would still have rear view mirrors with the doors off.
