Finished half doors and wrecktum !
Hello,
Well finished my halfdoors about a year ago, see buildthread.
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f58/2-...art-1-a-47261/
Made 2 trips KY, ThunderRoad and Snowshoe, WV with no or minor damage.
Left door handle took a little bump and cracked the paint, no biggie.
Fastforward to last weekend, 5 Jeeps went to Rocks and Valleys in central MI.
2 made it out and only one without major body damage, that was not me.
1 Cracked oil pan. (YJ )
2 busted front shafts on same jeep. ( Another YJ )
1 ripped off 1/2" thick hydro steering bracket. ( 3rd YJ )
That sidelined those 3 jeeps.
My damage:
1 bent RH lower control arm.
RH half door mangled at the handle.
Roof and gutter on RH side 3 big hits, RH rear vent panel broken.
Roof and gutter on LH side 1 big hit, amazed window didn't go.
Pictures to follow, no I did not use the winch, although it would have saved the roof, probably !
Cheers

Ok, so Now is not now, 3G sucks !
Here is the door handle area after 2 hours with the slide hammer.
Roof over pasenger door after 1.5 hour with slide hammer, the gutter was 1/2" inside the door frame.
Drivers side roof, if it rained it would go inside the window rubber.
The gutters after they were taken off they match the roof line in the as wheeled position.
Lots of slide hammer work to be done.
Well you get the idea.
Will post repair pictures in a few weeks when I am done.

Update
Well,
2 4000 lb ratcheting tie downs, lots of chain.
String jeep between 6x6's in the pole barn and pull.
One strap to the roll cage on the side you are not pulling, apply tension.
On the other side attach custom made clamp on the gutter, apply ratchet strap, ratchet until barn walls move in ~ 6", move clamp and repeat process.
Roof and quarters came out nicely, cracked the paint in a few spots but not too bad.
All in all a good weekend.
Cheers

Update 7/21
Scored 2 sets of new gutter trim from local yard 10 bucks.
Put one on and other is spare.
Roof had OEM rack removed long time ago, nutserts still there, considering roof sliders.
1" tube down each side 4 cross members and 4 or more brackets on each side.
Any thoughts ?
