i have a 2001 cherokee sport beautiful no rust or anything wrong. my girlfriend crashed it into 3 cars the other day smashed the bumper grill fender hood and i got all the parts but i cant figure out what the bracket panel thing is that the battery tray bolts to the fender bolts to it and the ground wire for the battery bolts to it its welded to the shock tower in the front passenger corner of the truck the hood latch is a part of it and the support rail above the radiator connects to it i was planning on cutting it out and replaceing it i just dont know what that part could be called or how i could get one i know body shops do stuff like that

This why people say “a picture is worth a thousand words”.

I understood it fine. But I don't know what it would be called either...

Cell phones can cause this issue.

Front passenger side clip. Best bet is JY or part out. Cut off of donor, cut out of recipient, replace. Might need to drill a lot of spot welds, and cut slightly oversize from the donor to trim and make it fit. If you don't have any experience with this, take it to a body shop...or get with someone who knows their ****. There will be welding involved.

Thank you... Can't rightfully call it the front inner fender well on these right? I thought about the term "clip", but I have always understood the "front clip" to be the whole grill, nacelle, and fenders in terminology so I was lost for the proper term on these. lol

I was thinking the same... A wise Preventative Maintenance issue... Not just one car, but three... :)

Nah. Now he has some leverage over this one that he can bank for when he screws up. "Oh yeah? Well I'm not the one who crashed the Jeep!"

Just don't let her drive it any more.

Nah, I say ditch the girlfriend now, because it's only going to get worse.

Lol... That's what my wife said too. She said "Three? how could that even happen?"... "Not sure that could have happened accidentally".

This video will give a general idea of the work involved...

Your gf owes you a new Jeep, or she foots the bill. Pick one.

samiam 11-16-2017 07:17 AM

Hold on! Before the verdict on the gf is given we need to see a pic. It may be she could wreck the Jeep 6 days a week and twice on Sunday and not kick her out.
