Conduit fender flares

So on another build page I displayed a few pics of my custom built conduit fender flares! By law here in Maine are wheels have to be covered and after I got new wheels it was clearly time for some flares. I'm a big fan of the BW Flat Flares but not a fan of the price! So I had to come up with something that would work and not spend a ton of money. So this was my first go at anything like this ad have only gotten to the front so far...

First was buying the conduit I got 2 10' sections of 3/4 conduit at Home Depot for $3.42+ tax I knew I'd need a little extra because I had never bought this or bent it before with that said one of the guys here was kind enough to let me borrow his conduit bender.

I pre bent a couple 90 degree bends I had to cut them to fit and then tack them to the fender

Kinda just had to go from there I was more worries about having the proper bend following the curve of the fender so I focused on those bends and just cut to fit

Got both sides ready for sheet metal skins I use old door skins from my shop skinned the flares tacked them all in place then welded cleaned the welds and ready for some trusty bed liner!

At this point before the bed liner I had about 10 hours into it! It was a huge learning experience but it came out pretty damn good!

I will update this once I get to the back I wish I would have taken more photos but sometimes when your in the moment you need to stay in it lol hope you all like and thank you for looking!

Looks good. I wish your pictures were larger.

Those appear to be welded straight to the fender?

Great job. How come you didnt use 1" DOM or mild steel? Dont you think the conduit will bend easily? Have you considered doing them for the rear?

i had thought about using steel but I was worried if I bought it and couldn't bend it I would be stuck with it and yes I will be doing the rear within the next week

At first I thought that was pictures of my Jeep, though mine aren't welded right to the fender. I went the armor route. Looks good now time to do the back to match.
