made mine out of 3/16 plate. i can stand on it. its strong and looks good.

I work at ProComm antenna's subsidiary of Barjan Products:makers of Francis & Wilson, and we manufactur internal copper fiberglas antennas up to 120 inches. We also make just fiberglas sticks to be wound externally with copper up to 132 inches. Have ability to go any length for customer's custom needs,but only sell up to 120 & 132 on a reg basis. BTW the Wilson 5000 is probably one of the best coils on the market today!

i like the hood mounts the best i made one for my jeep and i love it. i think it makes it look sweet.

I know its an post, but its a relevant topic.

The rules for the fab section just recently changed, thus why its been here so long. If you read the OP, its's not talking about fabricating anything its asking for pictures of how people have mounted CB antenna's. That solidly qualifies as a chat topic. It probably hasn't been moved because I'm sure that the mods for this section are swamped with trying to keep up with all the misplaced threads. I'm not bashing anyone, I'm giving a friendly reminder and trying to give the mods a hand with cleaning up the fab section of the forum
