building a belly pan
6 Attachment(s)
figured I could use some advice as I go along
started off by clocking the tcase Attachment 327519 Attachment 327520 got a piece of 1/4" steel. 2ft x 4ft cut a square out because the tranny mount still hangs to low then started to bend it to wrap around the sides of the frame rail Attachment 327521 Attachment 327522 Attachment 327523 here's sorta where I'm at. I plan to attach this giant skid by running 4 bolts through the uniframe on each side. Attachment 327524 |
If it were me I'd lay out a grid of something like 1"x1/4" bar in like a 6"square pattern for support
|
I will add supports as space allows me. gonna be a snug fit

How much of a clearance did u gain from clocking the t case?
|
What did you do about your linkage for the TC? I've read numerous articles on people clocking the TC with little detail about what they have done with the linkage. If you could post some pics or detailed description of what you have done/plan to do that would be great.
Thanks |

Did the pinion angles at the axles change too?

seems that front output would be raised up an inch or two though, so yeah front driveline angle might increase slightly. I'm not a bit worried, my axle is super high pinion |
i like it so far!

thank you sir! maybe you will have some innovative ideas for when the time comes to brace the hell out of this thing.
the only spot i would be concerned with is that upper mount, being that its mounted to plate steel it may start to stress that spot after a while. so a little gusseting there would go a long way |

Even angle welded like /\ across the long flat would help.
