Default Better Battery Tray

So, I was tightening down the batter the other day and broke the stupid stock plastic tray. After a quick search on the forums it seems its pretty common but much to my surprise, I couldn't find a better aftermarket replacement.

I did however find this on Go Jeep:

http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoBatteryTray.htm

So I decided to follow that same procedude, just for the stock battery instead of a larger battery.

Pic is of what I ended up with. Pretty simple to do and the battery is WAY more stable now and I won't have to worry about breaking anything in the future. I used the stock hold down for the top, just sandblasted and powdercoated it when I did the tray.

You can make one for various sized batteries and put a larger battery in your XJ.
