Every 100lbs you lose you gain 7hp. Looks good. I have a 84 junker couldn't spin a tire on concrete to save its life. I cut top off behind back doors, removed hatch, windows, & all 4doors. Damn thing smoke posi a block long & get scary squirrely along the way. Weight suks!

Smart man, getting his woman involved. Maybe I should do something like that so my gf will stop hating my "jeep time" lol:)

Yeah I hear ya! Hatches are ridiculously heavy for being fiberglass. I'm sure you noticed a difference huh? The cut-up jeep I mentioned has no lift & stock crap street tread. I took it out back of my bros house(trails, hills, ect) & was wheeling with his 6.5 lifted & swampers & was following them around for fun. I picked different lines(hence the stock tread) but being so lite I could go through spots they'd got stuck in.& would loop(to prove it,lol) around & do it again. HUGE difference a 1000k lbs makes. Less is definitely more. More power!

There a funny article in Peterson's 4wheel all about weight shedding. They cut just about everything off an old 4x4 ford van, roof, sides doors windshield, I mean everything. Looks ridiculous but worked really well

That being a health & safety concern, do they have inspections where you are?

That would look real good with the rear chopped. Even better if it is not welded straight on so you can open it. Looks nice though.
