Here is the fabric supplier I used, there may be a similar one in your town.

This is where I got the Convertible top material and window material and all the other materials ( Binding , sew sealer tape etc ).

wow, thank for the source. I was curious though, do you think a second hand top from the junkyard would work, or would it be to misshapen from being stretched over the support bars?

These are by far the best conceived and best built half-doors I have ever seen. Likewise, the write up is the best I have ever read on the subject, and the photos are top notch.

I have often considered doing this to my 2 door, but have been reluctant because of uncertainty in both my ability to figure out how to do it and in the quality and appearance of the outcome. Your write-up has eliminated both of those fears and I now plan to tackle it this summer.

Great job and thanks again for taking the time to put this together for all of us to benefit from. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more half-doors in the coming months.

The fronts are first generation Rusty flares. He doesn't do them anymore, they have Linex on them.

Super Job man.

I didn't even think about having to relocate the mirrors. Nice Job.

You might think about selling just the template, or have you thought about selling the template? I would be interested. I have plenty of 2 doors to hack on, I have 4 2 door xj's in various states of disrepair.

PM me if you would consider selling the template design.

Happy Jeepin'
