Which will give you more mpg.
I intend to do the same to 0 deck my block..down to a .008 actually. Plane the head to make sure its nice and flat, and run a comp 200 cam. The comp200 can be ran with stock valve train. I will have no issue running this on 87 octane still and to boot it'll make about 80 horsepower more than stock. Pending I plan to run a header & get it tuned and such but another 80horsepower at the crank won't be to bad for the little amount of work it is.
I'll have to keep this in mind. I actually am just gonna buy a new motor, not rebuild. I don't have the space to do it (on garage or even a driveway). But when I'm talking with the reman shops...I'll run this buy them. If they can do it, will do it, and do it in short order (I don't have to wait long for the motor), then I don't mind. I do plan on adding some basic upgrades to MPGs...or reliability. I wish I could go with an alum. head and such. Headers would be on area. That is why I'm looking a lot at exhaust too.

Yeah, I dont think he's going to be doing a lot of posting. Im in no way trashing anyone or claiming to know the whole story, but i came across a thred yesterday regarding turbo'ing an XJ and he got called out by LOTS of people for being a scammer/cheat/thief etc. I have no idea whats true and whats not, though i WILL say, he seems to know what hes talking about. But i think hes duckin all the heat lately. Wont be around for a while. And i hear he's banned from other forum sites for similar reasons. IDK for sure though.....
