94 Jeep Cherokee Sport. 4.0 and manual. I blew a stop light and hit a work van. Totally my fault. I think the body shop it was hauled to that gave us some money for it fixed it and it's still running around Alabama somewhere.

In 1975 I was 16 and got a 1965 Pontiac Catalina 389 complete with rod knock. Drove it anyways until one day we decided to finish it off. My buddy backed it into a couple trees, drove it over a speed bump and caught air in front of the entrance of the old folks home, (much to the amusement of several residents smoking outside) then threw it into reverse @ 50 mph on the tnpk. That did it.

I just found a picture of my first-ish car. The Camaro. I dont think it had the LS swap done yet - hence all the cat litter in the driveway from a very leaky 383. This must have been right before the LS swap since I got the Porsche to drive while I was doing the swap.

Nice! My buddy had a 67 LeMans coupe 2 spd auto with a 389 2 barrel all factory. 389 he bought at a junkyard, turned out to be a police and taxi high compression. 11.7 to 1.
Thing would do 90 in L and 112 in the quarter, stock 2bbl. This in sr year of high school.
I was in it or working on it so much I felt like it was part mine.

It was a RS clone. Originally was silver and had the long single bumper and a 2 barrel 350. Was a gutless turd! I had all that stuff laying around from the 71 I had which was a real RS. It was just in too bad of shape to restore so I kept all the good parts and sold off the shell.

83 amc spirit gt. 4 cyl auto. looking back i realize it was pretty cool for it’s time. power windows, locks, ac, bucket seats, factory mag wheels, maroon with tan interior. 1 owner and had 42k miles on it. i depleted my savings acct trying to keep it on the road. i lowered it, tinted the windows, and kept it up. the day after i sold it the new owner cut a sunroof in it...sigh.
