Default Vibe has brake fluid on the floor!

Hey guys, got another stumper for you:
Wife took her 2004 Pontiac Vibe into the garage.
They flushed and refilled the brake system.
On her way to work, after leaving the shop,
she noticed a liquid on the floor mat.
I looked and it appears to be leaking brake fluid
from around the boot at the back of the pedal.

I pressed on the pedal with my hand and felt/heard it purge air.
This is a new problem.

Any ideas? I'm taking it back to the garage in the morning so they can fix it,
but I want to know what the problem might be before hand.
Brakes are an area of limited knowledge for me, you know, pads, rotors, fluid.

P.S. I wish I had taken it instead of her, I could have shaved off
more than a couple of dollars by doing some of the stuff myself
(i.e. $30 to replace air filter, not a K&N but a Bosch).

Thanks in advance,
Steve

It sounds like a leaking master cylinder for your brakes. When the seals go they leak fluid into the booster. Also brake fluid will remove paint very well so clean up the mess asap
