My systers 2001 toyota camery had a water pump replaced by some one that didnt seal the new pump correctly. I think they were on drugs because they did a horable job and now it has a ticking sound in the head. She also mentioned that they are now homeless because they got kicked out for using meth. She left the car with the "mechanic" and now a bunch of ferrings are gone and the water pump that he put in, leeks where it bolts on. Im thinking that I shouldnt be too hard to fix but I would like to know the proper way to put a new water pump on. It's a 2001 toyota camery 4cyl 5 speed 4door. As for the ticking in the motor, I think it needs to be done by a real mechanic since its probly a valve job. However, if some one can tell me how to find out what the exact problem is, It would be a great help.

 

no takers on this I guess. well she is gona get it all fixed next week.

 

The water pump on the 4 cylinder is easy..It took me about 45 minutes to replace the one on my wifes 2005 camry.

 

I was told that Toyotas never break,WTF?

 

I blew the motor on my toyota 4x4 pick up twice. I hate em.
