Some fab work i just finished up
This is a little side job i finished up last week on a suzuki samurai. Basically a guy i know got this little gem for a good deal and is in the process of building it. his plans were rebuild the engine, add some armor, and new paint job. the previous owner painted it camo and didnt do a very good job. he also welded a bunch of channel right to the frame and called it a bumper. Here is my attempt to fix his frame and build him a good bumper.
here are a few before pics.
Weight
Here she is after i finally got that mess cut off

Here she is all cleaned up.
I had to add a little weight and also raise the area where his bumper would mount to. ive never worked on a zuki sami so i hopped on a forum and dug up some info along with a few ideas.
before i go further and get flamed ill mention that yes it is an atv winch and yes it is more than enough for the size of the vehicle and for the amount of wheeling that will be done for this thing. its also what the guy requested Not my personal choice.
then i added some plates to build off of
next i added the actual mounts
here you can see how much its actually raised

winch plate
next he brought a piece of tubing to use for a stinger so i threw it on some 2x5, added bumper mounts and then put some d-rings to mostly finish up the center section.
here it is mounted with the winch to check fitment
lastly i added a hitch to the center section so he could mount a basket for hunting. then finished up the ends and added a coat of paint.
ghetto paint booth lol
all finished

I measured it and from tire to tire i think it was 58 inches which is about 6 wider than a rhino lol. Something in that range anyway. Its a superfun little thing to drive i also made his doors removable, after i took them off it was the closest thing to riding a motorcycle ive ever been in lol. Before he brought it to me had the engine fully built, he bored it, ported the head, added a cam and rockers, brand new weber carb and a header. It was all done under 400 dollars and now thats its engine is completely built and decked out it has like 80 horse power haha

thanks man! it took some time but the customer loved it and for the little amount of thrashing around and wheeling he does it will suit him perfectly
