I love my jeep to death but it just keeps breaking down on me and i need something reliable and good on gas mileage. Im probably out of the wheeling game for this year due to me going to be paying more attention to my show car/drag car. I dont have much money so i cant just go out and buy a new truck. Wish i could that would be nice and being 18 years old doesnt help me out on loans that much. Wish someone would give me a hand and just fix every little thing that bothers me in my jeep so i would love it more than i do. After dumping almost 2000 dollars in it within a month or two I am just about to give up before i end up blowing up on my jeep.
And another thing is my jeep is defiantly worth more than 4k but people dont want to give me atleast that for it. They are offering me 2000 and 2500 for her i just cant let her go for that much. After how much blood and sweat i have put into her within the past couple months i wont be budging too much from that 4k mark. I mean Jeep just got a new radiator, new fuel pump, new brakes all the way around, freshly rebuilt rear axle (from D35 to C8.25). Its got semi new mud tires on it that are 33 inch. Alternator and starter are a few months old. New speakers and radio in it. New belt. Theres defiantly more things im forgetting. Shes almost brand new again in my eyes. But it seems like i put money here and then she wants money there. With school and all i just dont have that money and with it being winter and its my only vehicle for now she has to be reliable.

i definitly woudlnt trade straight up... from your signature your jeep sounds very well built. I have an 88 Mazda b2600, basically same truck, and i can tell you it runs good. my head gasket blew, head cracked and about 700 dollars later it ran agin. I dont know about the 22re engine so i cant comment. How much is he asking for the truck? You said loan for buying it, i wouldnt see how he could want more than 1500-2000 for it.
X2 on the trailer. get a drop hitch and your good. kieep the jeep, it just dosnt seem like its worth the trade

I did ask the guy how much he would take just to buy the truck off of him instead of trading and he said he wants 4300 for it.

The 22re is a Great motor if you take care of it. If The timing chain isn't replaced it will knock a hole in block or jump time. Other than timing chain and head gasket great motors but alot of motors are good when taken care of. 22 has half the power a 4.0 has too.

Well guys I might as well say it, I'm addicted to Jeeps. I was about a couple heartbeats away from buying a black 1996 jeep cherokee with a 4 inch lift on 31 inch tires. Jeeps just have something that can attract me from a big crowd of trucks or suv's. But I have sunk a whole lot of money into my jeep within the past couple months. I have almost every single receipt for the parts i have bought her. I probably have 20-40 receipts with all of them having atleast 60 bucks spent on each receipt. I havent held back on her. Well guys im not sure what im going to do. Might see if i can just go ahead and try to buy that truck off him for cash but from the sounds of 4300 to you guys what should i be shooting for? Truck is a 1991 with a 22re engine and a 5 speed transmission along with 4x4. It has a 3 inch lift on it and its sitting on 33 inch tires. Has 214000 miles on it and he says the engine has been rebuilt at some point in its life. OH best part haha, its got a sunroof!

But any paperwork on the motor work for it?
I would be afraid at 217k other things that could break or need replacing...
I would say around $1500 for it?

everyone says how them 22RE motors are the greatest thing in the world... but ive had 3 friends own them 1 owned 1 and the other 2 both have owned 2... reguardless of things they have all blew head gaskets or blown up... maybe my friends are hard on them or maybe there just junk... if there such bullet proof then they shouldnt of blown up... the 5speed tranny is junk as well... ive seen 2 of the 5 i seen went out as well... I SAY KEEP THE JEEP AND SAVE YOUR PENNYS FOR A TRAILER OR TO BUY THE TRUCK ON THE SIDE... ATLEAST THAT WAY YOU WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO DRIVE AFTER THE TOYOTA BLOWS UP
