Project Casper ; '92 YJ Wrangler
Recently acquired toy, 92 YJ with the 4.0/5spd. Got a great price, namely due to it's pisspoor condition, lol. Mechanically very strong, but suffering from rust damage and overall neglect.
Day one.
Step one was stripping it down to the essentials, see what I'm dealing with.
Out with the crusty rear frame section, replaced with a donor piece. Pretty straightforward, except the donor jeep was a later model without leafsprings. Fun job swapping those bushing sleeves over, lol. But hey, it was free.
Looking silly sitting on borrowed Mustang wheels, lol.
While waiting for these to come in...
Blasted & repainted the wheels, and fit her with Trucklites.
She's coming along, still got a ways to go though. I'll update as things progress.

Thanks brother! Still been here, lol, just not much to post.
Yeah, I'm keeping eyes peeled. Don't want to buy another one till I find the exact one I want. Bone stock white 5spd '99. I'll find it... eventually.

Lol, you know I've got a hankerin for a white XJ.
Little update;
Welded in new upper shock mounts
There was no way these nasty buggers we're going back in
Struck out locally, but scored on Scamazon
And got the back bumper back on
Of course, this was all after I thawed the damn thing out, lol. If you've got a topless jeep... don't leave it out in the freezing rain.

Got into the brakes. I knew they were sketchy, but damn...
Nuts to that, EVERYTHING is going away. Drums, hardware, lines, all of it. Don't play around with brakes fellas. When in doubt, rip it out.
Tomorrow's punchlist.

Fairly productive day yesterday.
Backing plates & diff cover blasted/repainted, all new; wheel cylinders, hardware/adjusters, shoes, drums, rear hose, axle bearings & seals. Just gotta finish running the new metal lines & bleed it out.

Wow, long overdue for an update here, lol.
SOP on any old jeep, shotgunned the steering, new centerlink, tie rods, stabilizer. Ripped out the stupid track bars, overengineering at it's finest.
Spent countless hours fixing this electrical mess.
Finally found a replacement for the crusty windshield frame, and over about a month repainted her piece by piece in bright white.
Now that she's looking better on the outside, next step will be starting on the new seats and carpet!

Thanks guys, sorry, lol been a crazy week.
Well she's not quite done.
But I may have a trade deal working for a RH drive XJ now, so this might be as done as I get her, lol.
