Opinions on an nb miata

So i am working my a** off to buy a 2001-2005 miata. Has anyone ever had one? i want one because it is considerably cheaper to own than my jeep right now and i always liked the nb miatas. The na in my area looks abused. What is a good price for one anyways? And what should i look out for when buying one? its gonna be a manual of course and most likely gonna stick a hard top on it down the road but im dead set on owning one now.

A Miata is just like a Jeep. They last forever if taken care of and are easy to work on. They are also slow like a Jeep haha. But they are a blast to drive and get awesome gas mileage. Be warned, the top will most likely leak and be ripped. If you get one and want some spare parts, let me know. I have still got a decent stock pile. Btw - they are even more fun with a turbo!

Had a couple super rare ones back in the day... and like 5-speed mentioned... you're not going to shatter any land speed records, but in the summer they are a blast to drive. Especially through some twisties :)

tbh i think slower cars are way more fun than fast ones and thats why i love them lol plus i seen alot of stuff is cheap for them and the leaky roofs yeah with florida rain thats an issue. I was gonna get a hard top for it because imo they look better. But yes im mostly looking for mpg and a tight handling car to learn with on how to control a car and track day it.... because ya know a jeep cherokee really looks and goes great at track day lol. Naw i would take my jeep but i dont wanna rag on the engine to hard that plus being my only vehicle i need a spare. Also! the insurance to have a miata is WAY cheaper 78 bucks compared to 145 atm a month both with towing
